Missing squirrel sign at "The Smithsonian" on Sunset Drive
Missing squirrel sign at “The Smithsonian” on Sunset Drive

On the May long weekend, several Pine Cr. and Sunset Drive residents discovered lawn ornaments, such as the squirrels that disappeared from The Smithsonian, missing. Only recently have people discovered that several other residences also had objects removed. By chance, some missing objects were located in the back yard of other Pine Cr. cabins, so it is possible that the other missing ornaments may also be found somewhere in out community. We ask that everyone check their yard for lawn ornaments that may have appeared without your knowledge, and to keep your eyes open on your travels through our community. If you find an ornament or have information about the disappearances, plesae email info at mybirchbay.ca , use this contact form, or post on Facebook

News from  Alberta Transportation:

“at this point in time the project is not on Alberta Transportation’s 3 year construction program, of course projects move on and off that list on a regular basis depending on priority, if there is some type of urgency in terms of safety and then available funding”.
