It is now time to start registering yourself or your teams for the Annual Golf Tournament. Registration closes 15 July.Registration can be made in person, email, phone with the details provided in the attached.For payment, I will be accepting cash, cheque or e-transfer. Advance payment will need to be made out to me: Lisa Nimchuk (cheque) or ljnimchuk at gmail.com (e-transfer) so that I can pay the golf course on the day of the event.Cost is $70 and includes green fee, dinner with $5 of the fee going towards boosting the “quality” of door prizes as well as $3 towards registration gift bags.Most importantly – I am now accepting donations for prizes! I will be soliciting businesses in Bentley and Rimbey to provide donations as well – they were very supportive last year – but if anyone would like to donate from their personal business or on behalf of their current employer that would be great. They will all receive notable mentions at the time of award.Personal donations are also greatly appreciated. If anyone is intending to donate I request notification of this and what the prize(s) will be so that I can avoid duplication at the time of solicitation/purchase of door prizes as well as the ease in assigning the appropriate prize for the appropriate level.Thank you to all! Here are some photos from this weekend’s Winter Festival. It was a chilly -17 or so, with a west wind, but lots of people came down and had fun playing hockey, having chilli & hot dogs for lunch, and enjoying a bright sunny winter day.
The curling bonspiel couldn’t be held because there wasn’t time or people to get the rings on the ice. Had they been done over the Christmas break, the bonspiel could have happened, but we’ll have to wait for next year to curl again.
